Kodak EDR2 Film For Extended Dose Range Applications Now Available

As market leader in the oncology market, Kodak is committed to providing the highest levels of support to its increasing base of radiotherapy customers. The perfect example of that commitment is the announcement that Kodak EDR2 Film in Ready Pack is now available in the UK to address the needs of therapy radiographers, radiotherapists and physicists to deliver high dose radiation safely.

Kodak EDR2 Film expands the current line of Kodak Ready Pack products by offering increased dose range capability and improved exposure linearity for film dosimetry and quality assurance testing.

The dose response range of EDR2 Film and its relative insensitivity to x-ray energies makes it ideal for applications such as IMRT Plan Verification. The film has the potential to deliver real value to the radiotherapy community, as radiation oncology increasingly utilises new treatment delivery methods and technology.

"With Kodak EDR2 Ready Pack film, radiotherapists can more effectively and efficiently measure dosimetry for IMRT treatments and other quality assurance applications such as stereotactic and advanced MLC," said Giulia Coope, Marketing Specialist, Kodak's Health Imaging Division. "Key features include improved exposure linearity for less field size dependence, less sensitivity to processing conditions and a convenient exposure range from 25 cGy to 400 cGy."

Kodak EDR2 Film in Ready Pack comes in 50 sheet boxes and is available in two sizes - 10" x 12" and 35cm x 43cm. Other Kodak Oncology Film products include Kodak Portal Pack for Localisation Imaging and Kodak X-Omat TL and V Films.

For additional product information, customers are advised to contact Steve Imber at Oncology Imaging Systems Ltd, Kodak's appointed UK distributor on 01825 749557, or visit Kodak's web site at www.kodak.com/go/oncology.
