'Mini' Bonanza From Kodak This Summer

Kodak's exciting new nationwide consumer promotion takes a 'Mini' theme this summer and is set to send film sales flying off the shelves at an accelerating rate.

Everyone's a winner with this latest blockbuster, which offers consumers the chance to win a fantastic Mini One car and take advantage of 2 nights for the price of 1 on Mini Breaks at selected hotels in the UK and Ireland.

Entry for the Mini One competition couldn't be simpler. Consumers just pick up an entry form from the special merchandisers when they purchase Kodak films or single-use cameras. They complete the form, which includes a tie-break, and send it to the promotion address together with the original till receipt as proof of purchase.

Closing date for receipt of entries is 30 September 2002 with entries judged on 10 October 2002. To benefit from the Mini Break offer, consumers simply telephone the hotline number detailed on the reverse of the leaflet.

Summer film sales are vital to the photographic category and Kodak has a proven track record of driving summer sales with this type of aspirational prize. Last year's promotion to 'Win a Lotus Elise' achieved nearly four times the average FMCG redemption rate with independent research figures from GFK confirming Kodak's highest levels of film share since the Millennium.

The 'Win a Mini' promotion will prove irresistible once consumers are in-store and is designed to provide support to Kodak's added-value promotions running throughout the summer around Kodak Ultra and Kodak Ultra Max films and single-use cameras.

To capitalise on Kodak's investment this summer, retailers can create maximum exposure for film and single-use cameras with eye-catching counter and floor-standing merchandisers plus a range of impactful POS, which support both promotions.

"Kodak promotions are always popular with consumers and the new Mini One promotion is sure to prove highly appealing once it hits the high street," commented Clare Rae, Marketing Manager, Kodak's Consumer Imaging Division. "We are confident that these promotions will drive consumers into buying Kodak film and single-use cameras this summer and prominent display and secondary sitings will be vital to impulse purchase."

Merchandisers will be available from May and retailers should talk to their Kodak representatives or Kodak supplier for further details.
