Summer is a key time for camera sales, with June, July and August accounting for over a quarter of Advanced Photo System (APS) sales in volume terms last year. Retailers can maximise this window of opportunity with prominent display, backed by eye-catching POS and merchandising material to help attract attention in-store.
New Models
Two new Kodak Advantix cameras featuring a sleeker, more modern feel, will be available to retailers in late spring ready for introduction to consumers this summer.
Kodak Advantix F620 Zoom Camera
This latest model replaces the Kodak Advantix F600 camera at the same RRP of £79.99. The F620 offers improvements over its predecessor including easier to use controls, smaller size and styling. The F620 offers high performance zoom pictures at great value.
Kodak Advantix C470 Auto-Focus Camera
This model replaces the current C450 camera at the same RRP of £49.99. Restyled with a sleek, modern feel, this camera is also smaller and lighter with an improved viewfinder, which offers a crystal clear view of the shot. The C470 includes a top specification for the price, including flip-up flash, auto-focus and all-glass lens.
Advantix T700 Zoom Camera Down in Price
In addition to these two new models, Kodak has announced a price reduction for the Kodak Advantix T700 Zoom camera. From April 2002, this best-selling camera will be even more competitive on the high street at RRP £99.99. The T700 is Kodak's first weatherproof zoom camera and is a camera that is all about style and performance, with a top specification. It has been the spearhead for the Advantix line-up since its launch in October 2001, winning the coveted iF Design Award 2001 for "Excellence in Design".
Revitalised POS
A new range of stylish metallic look POS features the premium silvery green colour highlighted on the T700 model and retailers can take advantage of Kodak's investment in this high quality in-store support to create impact and drive sales. The new 2002 range includes hanging banners, showcards and wobblers, plus a variety of counter and floor standing merchandisers to compliment the range. Each POS item features the T700 Zoom camera to create an integrated and impactful look in-store.
New Consumer Brochure
A stylish new consumer brochure completes the line-up to promote the current Kodak Advantix product range. It clearly explains the APS system and details the full benefits of the cameras (including the new F620 and C470 models), Kodak Ultra Max film and Kodak Picture CD. The brochure takes a modern life-style feel, continuing the same colour theme of the POS, and is available via a free-standing counter display to make it easy for consumers to pick up and read.
Retailers interested in ordering the new range of POS or obtaining quantities of the new Kodak Advantix camera brochure should either talk to their local Kodak representative or usual Kodak supplier.
