Lister Healthcare Signs For A Further Three Years

Lister Bestcare, part of the Lister Healthcare Group of companies, has reinforced its confidence in Kodak and the DryView product portfolio by signing a further three year supply agreement with Kodak. An order for three Kodak DryView 8100 Laser Imagers with DICOM PACS Link interfaces accompanied the signing of the agreement for installation at new Lister static sites at Dewsbury and District Hospital, Walsall Hospitals NHS Trust and Sandwell General Hospital.

Kodak and the Lister Healthcare Group have a long association with over 30 DryView units in operation at both static and mobile sites across the UK. Lister Bestcare increased its size significantly last year with the acquisition of Westminster Healthcare's diagnostic division, a move which linked well with Lister's existing business making it the leading provider of mobile and fixed body scanning units for the National Health Service and private hospitals in the UK.

"Kodak DryView Laser Imagers provide the consistency of image quality and reliability that we need for both our static installations and mobile fleet," commented Derek Hughes, Director of Technical and Strategic Development, Lister Healthcare. "In addition, Kodak's Service and Support network is first class at keeping the equipment at peak performance so that we can maximise workflow and productivity for the benefit of patients."

The 8100 has an extremely small footprint making it particularly convenient to site in mobile installations or where space is at a premium. Throughput is 55 35 cm x 43 cm (14" x 17") films per hour from a variety of applications including CT and MR. Kodak DryView Laser Imaging systems are the best-selling in the industry with more than 15,000 currently installed worldwide.

"Lister Healthcare is committed to providing mobile imaging services of the highest quality and that's why they choose Kodak DryView Laser Imagers for hard copy output from both CT and MRI applications" commented Jane Grimsley, OEM and Private Healthcare Business Manager, Kodak's Health Imaging Division.

"Increasingly DryView technology is becoming the standard by which all others are judged because the image quality, reliability and consistency is second to none."

Kodak and DryView are trade marks
