Kodak CR System For Pilot PACS Project At St.Vincent's University Hospital, Dublin

Following a tender process, Kodak has been selected to participate along with Siemens in a prestigious pilot PACS project within the busy A & E X-ray department at St.Vincent's University Hospital, thus extending its long standing relationship with the Company.

Two Kodak DirectView CR 800s have been installed for electronic capture and distribution of images within this key area, which handles a total of around 30,000 examinations each year, as well as serving the intensive care unit. The single-cassette CR 800 system is ideal for distributed CR applications providing all the functionality needed for CR image processing, reprocessing and automatic network forwarding.

A DICOM network links the two CR units to a number of modalities including a Kodak MasterPage workstation for soft copy review, a Kodak DryView 8500 Laser Imager with PACS Link for hard copy output as well as seamlessly interfacing with a Siemens PACS system. This easy integration is a key component in Kodak's philosophy of providing flexible solutions wherever customers are on their individual digital journey.

Kodak customers throughout Ireland are exclusively supplied with Kodak products by Dublin-based Photologic, as part of a network of Value Added Service Providers (VASPs) throughout the UK and Ireland. Each works with the advantage of local knowledge and strong personal customer relationships to provide added value at every turn, something not often found when dealing with large organisations directly.

Kodak and DirectView are trade marks
