Kodak will ‘share moments and life’ in an 8000 sq metre hall at trade show.
Kodak Professional will showcase a range of new digital products from award-winning high end cameras to state of the art printers and digital minilabs at Photokina this autumn.
Digital product innovations – some still carefully guarded secrets - are scheduled to make debut appearances as Kodak moves from its usual Hall 8 to the much larger Hall 4 at the Koln Messe site.
Working with the theme ‘Share Moments. Share Life’ the company plans to use every square centimetre of its new 8,000 sq metre hall to present Kodak as the world’s leading infoimaging organisation.
Said KPro UK spokesman John Culverhouse: “ Photokina 2002 is set to be our best ever European trade show. Our goal is to create enhanced customer awareness of the comprehensive resources we now have available in the professional imaging market, from capture through to output.”
He added: “Our multi-million dollar stand with its extra 2000 sq metres underlines our total commitment to remaining in the driving seat as the digital imaging world expands in ways never seen before.”
Kodak’s TIPA award-winning ProBack 645, described as ‘the first digital back to offer true portability, giving photographers an unprecedented combination of working freedom and high image quality’ will be on show alongside the full range of Kodak Professional capture devices.
The revolutionary high speed Kodak Professional ML-500 Digital Photo Print System, capable of printing four to six times faster than other dye-sublimation or inkjet printers and able to produce photo-quality 8x10 dry thermal prints in 13 seconds, will also be showcased. Said Culverhouse: “The ML-500 offers productivity that rivals digital minilabs at a fraction of the hardware cost”.
KPro will also offer demonstrations of its latest ‘affordable’ 8500 Digital Photo printer, using dry imaging technology - and plans major presentations of all printed output options using Kodak DLS technology in combination with new digital minilabs.
Added Culverhouse: “Naturally ‘digital’ is the watchword of the moment but our commitment to R&D in silver halide is ongoing. We will be showcasing latest emulsions including our TIPA award-winning revised T-MAX films as part of our overall value proposition. Photokina 2002 will provide us with the perfect stage to demonstrate both improved picture making options and improved ways to share those images.”
