Multipack Opportunities for Christmas

Kodak is targeting the party season this Christmas with the launch of two single-use camera multipacks. Both packs offer fantastic savings versus normal RRP for single cameras and are designed to give retailers the opportunity to really drive sales during one of the key picture-taking periods of the year.

Party Pack
The new Kodak Party Pack is perfect for any occasion from parties, weddings and holidays and will make an ideal Christmas gift or stocking filler. It contains four Kodak Fun Flash single-use cameras and with an RRP of only £21.99, represents over a £13 saving against four single cameras.

Twin Pack
This pack will be available again at Christmas following its success last Christmas and during the summer. Retailing at RRP £11.99, each pack contains two Kodak Fun Flash single-use cameras, which represents a saving to consumers of £5.99.

A heavyweight media press campaign during the key Christmas period and a selection of powerful in-store POS will support Kodak’s single-use camera activity which has been considerable this year with a massive TV spend, the introduction of three improved models and eye-catching new packaging.

“We are always looking at ways to innovate the market and these multipacks will offer retailers a new opportunity for gifting this Christmas,” said Melissa Chevin, Brand Manager for Single-use Cameras, Kodak’s Consumer Imaging Division.
“Single-use cameras remain a massive opportunity for retailers and they can boost additional sales with prominent display on self-selection in key impulse areas and by using secondary sitings.”

The value of the single-use camera market continues to grow unabated with a rise of an incredible 22% in 2001 to around £93 million at retail. This figure is estimated to rise to around £111 million by the end of 2002. Single-use cameras are high on the list for impulse purchase and offer high levels of return for little space commitment. Over a quarter of sales for the total year are achieved during winter.
