Kodak Re-Configures Service Provider Network

Following a recent European review, Kodak is implementing a change to its successful network of Value Added Service Providers (VASPs). From December 2002, Hospital Engineering and Axis Healthcare will widen their current areas of responsibility to additionally serve customers in the North West and South West respectively. This latest initiative is designed to significantly enhance Kodak’s ‘Total Solution’ approach and facilitate sales of complimentary products.

“Over recent months we have undertaken a thorough review of the number and type of service providers engaged by Kodak over the whole region,” said Chris Briggs, Business Manager for the UK and Ireland, Kodak’s Health Imaging Division. “This re-configured model will position us to offer our customers increased levels of service and support across the whole network. Due to their particular areas of expertise, Hospital Engineering and Axis Healthcare will co-operate even more closely with Kodak on a number of wide ranging imaging issues in the future.”

Kodak created its Value Added Service Provider network four years ago with the aim of fostering a more flexible and responsive local service interface for its customers. Since then the concept has proved increasingly successful with customer satisfaction scores consistently reaching the highest levels. Specialist companies serve different areas of the United Kingdom and currently working for over 1500 Kodak customers across the UK and Ireland with a business in excess of £30 million annually.

Both Hospital Engineering and Axis Healthcare will contact Kodak customers affected by this change to the network to discuss special needs and the necessary adjustments to administration.
