Latest Equipment For BUPA Murrayfield
The BUPA Hospital, Murrayfield Wirral, has recently installed the latest in daylight film handling and dry laser equipment from Kodak. A Kodak X-Omat Multiloader 7000 and DryView 8200 Laser Imager are now sited side by side in the new spacious viewing area at the hospital and are set to handle around 12,000 examinations annually. The 8200 with PACS link is networked to workstations for soft copy diagnostic review.
“We chose Kodak following recommendations from other BUPA Hospitals,” commented Radiology Services Manager, Jane Humphery. “We have had very few problems with the Kodak equipment since it was installed earlier this year and we are delighted with the service and help received from the local engineer and representative.”
The Multiloader 7000 is designed for high-capacity throughput offering improved workflow and increased productivity. It holds up to seven magazines with 115 film sheets each, accommodates 13 film sizes and occupies an extremely small footprint to open up more space for patients or other equipment.
The DryView 8200 Laser Imager offers image resolution of 325 dots per inch (dpi) and is ideal for general radiology and mid-volume computed radiography (CR) and digital radiography (DR) applications. The 8200 is configured with Kodak PACS Link which in addition to fully featured DICOM printing, supports the routing of images to multiple network locations, such as other laser imagers, archives and PACS workstations. PACS Link is also capable of converting image data from non-DICOM modalities into DICOM image data to protect existing investments while providing a digital pathway to PACS.
Kodak and DryView are trade marks
