Forth Valley Acute Trust Signs With Kodak
Forth Valley Acute Trust has signed a consumables contract with Kodak for Falkirk and District Royal Infirmary and extended its existing Kodak contract for Stirling Royal Infirmary, to make the Trust exclusively Kodak for the next three years.
Stirling Royal Infirmary already had Kodak Multiloaders in operation where they were found to be compact, reliable and user-friendly. As a result of this latest deal, two additional units were installed in the X-ray department at Falkirk and District Royal Infirmary in early August.
“We are delighted with the installation of the new equipment,” said Norma Wilson, Area Imaging Services Manager for the Trust. “Their compact size and small footprint has released more space in the viewing area and provided a less-cramped working environment. Additionally, there is now no need for a separate mammography processor as the Multiloader 7000 can provide this service and the facility for recycling the fixer is also a bonus.
“We are a very busy department, performing in excess of 76,000 examinations last year including 24/7 cover for A&E,” she added. “The back-up service from Kodak is excellent and there is true commitment to customer support.”
