The UK list price for the widely acclaimed new Kodak DCS Pro 14n digital camera has been set at £3,595 (ex VAT).
Following a Photokina launch described as ‘one of the best received product announcements in the company’s history’ the groundbreaking 13.89 megapixel digital SLR will be available through dealers next month.
Said John Culverhouse, Kodak Professional’s Country Business Manager: “The response to the DCS Pro 14n launch has been quite incredible. On the launch day alone we met with hundreds of photographers looking to place an order.
We believe that this camera will have a similar effect on the portrait, wedding and studio market as the launch of the DCS 520 had on the photojournalism market in the Nineties.”
He added: “With its highly competitive price point, its phenomenal 13.89 million total pixels, outstanding software and its ability to provide variable resolution raw files, this is the camera that portrait, wedding and event photographers have been waiting for.”
The camera will be widely available through an expanded dealer channel.
Said KPro UK marketing manager, Clare Bruce: “We believe this camera could change the entire parameters of the digital camera arena and for this reason we have been negotiating terms with a wide range of UK dealers keen to market the Pro 14n.”
