On a recent visit to the UK, Dan Kerpelman, President of the Health Imaging Group and Senior Vice-President Eastman Kodak Company, visited Guy’s and St Thomas’s Hospital in London, a major site for Kodak PACS.

As a large acute teaching hospital with a busy 24-hour A&E department serving central London and surrounding areas, Guy’s and St Thomas’s constantly seeks to introduce the benefits of cutting edge medical imaging for the delivery of rapid, high quality diagnosis and treatment. The hospital has been an important customer of Kodak for many years with recent developments including the introduction of a pioneering web-enabled system to extend PACS reach beyond the radiology department and an archive upgrade to increase long-term storage.

“ Dan’s visit was both useful and enjoyable on a number of levels and it was good to see Kodak senior management from the US focus on UK customers in this way,” said Leonie Paskin, Head of Radiology Services, Guy’s and St.Thomas’ Hospital. “We appreciated the opportunity to learn about Kodak’s plans for the future and to demonstrate our system and the developments we have made recently.”
