Sales of Kodak Picture CD are set to soar this summer with the introduction of a range of new initiatives including a price reduction, dedicated TV advertising and new point-of-sales material.
June will see the recommended retail price of Kodak Picture CD reduced from £5.00 to £3.99 to help drive consumer trial and re-purchase, a move timed to coincide with the airing of a new £3 million TV campaign dedicated to Picture CD. Ads will run nationally from 7th June – 25th August to build consumer awareness and drive footfall to Kodak Pictures dealers. Once in-store, retailers can maximise the opportunity with eye-catching point of sale material including a new consumer brochure, A3 poster, leaflet, shelf wobbler and ‘as seen on TV’ ‘A’ board poster.
“ Research shows that consumers who try Picture CD love it but awareness of the service and its benefits are low,” said Charles Cann, Group Brand Manager D&P and Digital Services. “The TV ads will increase awareness levels significantly and the lower price will enable more people to use Picture CD more often. This latest campaign is an integral part of our plans for high investment and increased focus on Kodak Pictures photo processing this year and retailers should anticipate increased business throughout the summer as a direct result.”
With Kodak Picture CD, consumers using 35mm and Advanced Photo System films can get into digital photography without changing the way they take pictures. They receive their prints back in the traditional way plus a set of digital photos on CD with which they can quickly and easily improve their photos, add special effects, share them by e-mail and much more.
