Retailers will have an extra incentive to capture new business this summer when the fifth great value offer of the year from Kodak Pictures kicks in as part of a year long promotional calendar. Until 21st August 2003, Kodak is giving consumers the opportunity to try Kodak Picture CD for only £2.
With Kodak Picture CD, consumers using 35mm and Advanced Photo System films can get into digital photography without changing the way they take pictures. They receive their prints back in the traditional way plus a set of digital photos on CD with which they can quickly and easily improve their photos, add special effects, share them by e-mail and much more.
Kodak is committed to raising consumer awareness of the benefits of Kodak Picture CD and this year has launched a range of new initiatives including a price reduction from £5.00 to £3.99 designed to drive trial and re-purchase.
During 2003 Kodak is supporting these key initiatives and wave of national promotions by injecting up to £6 million promotional spend on TV over key D&P periods. This latest promotion coincides with the airing of a new £3 million TV campaign dedicated to Kodak Picture CD, with nationwide ads running now until 27th August.
“ The Kodak Picture CD for £2 promotion is designed to really drive trial and repeat sales so that consumers can experience the benefits for themselves,” said Charles Cann, Group Brand Manager for D&P and Digital Services, Kodak’s Consumer Imaging Division.
“We successfully ran this promotion several times during 2002, permanently increasing the percentage of customers ordering Kodak Picture CD with their prints. For retailers this increased order value results in additional profit opportunities.”
Kodak Pictures dealers can maximise on Kodak’s investment with eye-catching point of sale material to support the promotion including A3 window poster and till wobbler.
